Why is it that Flemming never bothered to interview the literally hundreds of Christian or even secular scholars who would disagree with his premises (ranging from the existence of Jesus to the dates and origins of the Gospels)? Why is he only interviewing average Christians on the street to get "the other side"? This is a sham pretense of fairness. It is made worse by the fact that two of his major sources do not even have doctoral degrees in their field yet (Doherty, Carrier), and that a third (Price) cannot get his work into the mainstream and so had to start his own journal to publish his ideas. It is also unlikely that other sources he uses such as Dundes would buy into his thesis that Jesus did not exist.
The one thing Flemming does show well is that the average Christian needs to understand what they believe and why better. But as a Skeptic who is himself spreading misinformation and has made numerous errors, Flemming has no room to talk. He merely assumes that all Christians were as ignorant as he was when he professed to be one. If he wanted to, he could have found as many informed Christians as he wanted right on his doorstep in the Los Angeles area, but clearly he doesn't want to find any.
